I'm truly blessed to possess this incredible recipe based down to me by the master chef herself, my mother-in-law, known to the Temple Fam as Yu Qing-Yi. Her wisdom in fine dining Chinese cuisine has been an invaluable treasure, fueling my endless inspiration and transforming my eating habits forever.


We take crisp, blanched broccoli and elevate it to new heights with a slow-roasted garlic oil dressing. The secret to unlocking amazing flavor lies in achieving the perfect golden brown garlic. Carefully cooked over low heat to avoid any burnt notes, it adds an irresistible dimension to every bite. And for a complete meal, add some crisped tofu and a dash of soy sauce to elevate the experience even further!

  • 2 large cloves of garlic , finely chopped or thin small slices

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 2 tsp soy sauce

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

  • 1 tbsp water
